Half Time
Written by eNGinE

Some of you, who can still actually count, might have recognized that we hit Half-time on easter ;-)
I'm pretty happy to see that it run mostly without any trouble.

Some Clans are a bit ... erm.. slow with posting results, but at least the matches take place very punctually.

The only small problem is the lack of matches on the 4v4 Ladder. But I think its just because two leagues at the same time are too much many of us. We'll focus on this more after this EETFL Season is over.

Btw: Herewith I want to announce that there wont be a 13th EETFL Season directly after the current one. I don't say that the EETFL is dead.. but its getting summer and the already small community is getting even smaller.
So i think the 4v4 Ladder will be exactly the right thing!
People can still play... but smaller teams which means organization is much easier; and there are no fixed matchdays which was demanded by many non-hardcore-player ;-)

Maybe in Autumn we see whats up.. maybe a good TeamFortress successor is out... maybe we organize another 8v8 league... We'll see!

Until then... I'm looking forward to a exciting season finale!

Soooooo things start to get serious now.

At first, I want to thank you for the fast response on the last Poll (Ceasefire/Matchmode).
The Result was 22-6 for Ceasefire start. Thats pretty unambiguous so i changed it in the HL and EETFL Rules

After some minor things were added to the Rules, i published them on the League system now.
It will only be changed if BIG problems occour with it.

So Maps are Set... Rules are set.. Schedules are set...

We can start ! :) - First EETFL Matches are Sunday 2007/03/11
Last but not least:
Highlander signup is now open, too.
I hope there will sign some teams very soon.

There was a huge discussion on irc yesterday about the standard mode, each match is started. So i decided to make a vote for that. I'd prefer matchmode reasons see below:

The EETFL Signup is now CLOSED for new clans. Maps and Match schedule will be published today evening or tomorrow.
First matches are planed to be played on 2007/03/11. Don't forget that every clan needs to get all player registered as member in his Team. (see Rules)

Clans who missed the EETFL Signup can still get into the 4vs4 ladder. Signup for this will be opened until Wednesday at the latest.

This site had a good start i think. Nearly 2000 unique visitors in 8 days is quite good for a nichegame like this Team Fortress Mod. for Enemy Territory. We're already Google listed as well!

For the 8on8 EETFL League, there are only tree days left to sign up!
I talked to three Clans who are still searching for Members, and also saw a lot of unclaned players on #kgather.
Maybe just use the Player Transfer Board! Thats what it's made for ;-)
The EETFL Rules Draft can also be reviewed on the forum!

Due to some advertisement, new players should also wave a 'hello'! We don't bite (at least most of us). :)
Maybe you also feel ready for a visit on #kgeetfl or #kgather and the upcoming Highlander 4on4 Ladder should be a great start even for newcomers.
